South Pacific Business Development (SPBD), a key player in Fiji’s microfinance market, has moved its Labasa operation to a new location on the main road of Labasa Town.
The relocation was a strategic decision for the organisation, aimed at increasing visibility and accessibility for clients and stakeholders, according to SPBD Fiji’s managing director Elrico Munoz.
“The new location will be more accessible for our customers, this is the main reason we moved,” he said.
Mr Munoz said around $2000 was invested for the new Labasa office, which officially opened yesterday.
“We basically have the same team. So we have three field officers called center managers to go around to the different villages, and one back office staff.”
SPBD Labasa, he said, was expecting an increase in outreach with the relocation.
“This will mean more business. At the back road, nobody would really visit our office.”
The old SPBD office was located at the back road of Sangam Avenue.
