SPBD Impact Report

SPBD Microfinance was launched in 2000 from a very humble office in the Salefui section of Apia, Samoa. The goal was to empower poor, but hard-working women by helping them start and grow small, income-generating businesses so that they could work their own way up, and permanently, out of poverty to their benefit and to the benefit of their entire family.  After more than two decades of work, we have remained true to that mission and over the years have only become more ambitious in our efforts to empower tens of thousands of women micro-entrepreneurs across the South Pacific.  This report, for the first time, documents both the breadth and depth of the impact that SPBD is having in the region.
