SPBD Fiji Managing Director Lorraine Seeto welcomed members to the new premises, located just metres from the previous office at 6 Ross Street. “This move is more than just a change of address,” she said. “It represents growth, progress, and our unwavering commitment to serving our members better.”
The relocation means SPBD is now at the heart of Nausori’s commercial activity, close to the market and bus stand – a deliberate move to improve accessibility for the Branch’s 89 centres served by five staff.
Seeto acknowledged the organisation’s partners, including Courts, which generously donated an urn, fridge, and sandwich maker.
Since establishing its Fiji presence in Suva in December 2010, SPBD has expanded to ten branches covering Viti Levu, Vanua Levu, and maritime islands. The Nausori Branch, established in 2024, has already outgrown its previous premises – a testament to growing demand from women entrepreneurs seeking microfinance support.
Looking ahead, Seeto confirmed SPBD Fiji will open its eleventh branch in Korovou by mid-2026, with staff already in training.
Nakeke concluded with a prayer of dedication: “Let this be an office that generates growth, fruitfulness, and prosperity for our mothers, young women, widows, and those who are economically vulnerable.”
The ceremony reflected SPBD’s core mission, established in 2000 by founder Greg Casagrande: turning potential into prosperity for Pacific women.
