Elizabeth Funk is the Founder and CEO of DignityMoves, an innovative new nonprofit dedicated to ending unsheltered homelessness using private-sector practical approaches.

DignityMoves follows a career-long pattern of disrupting the status quo for good. In 2004 Elizabeth created the Dignity Fund, long before the concept of “impact investing” existed. This for-profit fund helped bring dramatic scale to the microfinance sector, demonstrating how capitalism can be harnessed to help address the world’s most pressing challenges. She simultaneously served as Chairman of Unitus, a leading nonprofit microfinance accelerator that helped the microfinance industry develop from a philanthropy-driven, nascent movement to the professionally-financed global industry that has dramatically reduced extreme poverty globally.

Since that time, she has been a tireless advocate for the impact investing movement, serving as a fund manager for several impact funds, a mentor to social entrepreneurs, and an angel investor. She served as the Senior GP at Dev Equity, an impact fund investing focused on economic development, low-income housing and sustainable agriculture in Latin America across Honduras, Nicaragua, Panama, Costa Rica, Peru, and Ecuador.

Elizabeth is an active member of Young President’s Organization where she served on the International Board. She holds an undergraduate degree from Stanford University and an MBA from Harvard Business School as a Baker Scholar.
