South Pacific Business Development

A seasoned financial services professional with 21+ years of extensive experience and deep specialization in microfinance, gained entirely in India, spanning internal audit, risk management, portfolio management, business development and financial services. He holds an MBA from Xavier Institute of Management (XIM), India, and has developed extensive expertise in inclusive finance, responsible lending, portfolio management and sustainable financial services.

With this strong foundation, he has joined SPBD Fiji as General Manager, bringing more than two decades of practical microfinance experience, industry knowledge and leadership expertise to the South Pacific region. His transition to Fiji provides an opportunity to apply the knowledge and best practices gained throughout his career in India while deepening his understanding of the financial, social and economic environment of the South Pacific.

A pioneer in integrating ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance) frameworks into financial services, his experience includes managing JLG and MSME mortgage businesses, health insurance products and related financial services as well as establishing and scaling Business Correspondent models.

He has also leveraged technology to transform financial services through digital lending and collection solutions and ERP-enabled process optimization, driving efficiency, stronger controls, improved customer experience and operational effectiveness.

At SPBD Fiji, he aims to contribute his expertise toward sustainable growth, innovation, financial inclusion and social impact while continuously learning and adapting his experience to the South Pacific microfinance landscape.
