Lorraine is the Managing director of SPBD Fiji and has been a key member of the Board of SPBD Fiji for over 5 years. She had a 38-year career with the Reserve Bank of Fiji where she was the first female executive to be appointed as a Chief Manager in various roles including Advisor to the Governors.

In addition to her role with SPBD, Lorraine is currently serving on a number of boards including the South Pacific Stock Exchange, Fiji Public Trustee Corporation Ltd, ANZ Local Advisory Board, the Chinese Education Board and Chinese Association of Fiji Board. Further, Lorraine is the Governance Advisor at United Nations Association of Fiji.

Empowering women and promoting financial inclusion has been a key cornerstone of Lorraine’s life work, she has served on the Professional Development, Women’s Initiatives International Committee of the Fiji Institute of Chartered Accountants and the Fiji Institute of Bankers. She was formerly the Chair of the Budget and Finance Committee of Alliance for Financial Inclusion (AFI).

Ms. Seeto was awarded the 50th anniversary independence medal by the Fijian Government, Honorary Fellow by Fiji Institute of Bankers, Lifetime Achievement Award by Fiji Institute of Bankers, Women in Business – Excellence and Commitment Award and was a Finalist in Leadership in Financial Inclusion – AFI.

She holds a Master of Commerce (Economics) from the University of New South Wales, Australia and a Bachelor of Arts (Economics and Accounting) from the University of the South Pacific.
